NaNoWriMo Day 2 Challenges

Word Challenge:  Exsanguinate

Definition: To drain of blood. Typically causing death.

Theme Challenge:  Grief

One of the characters is impacted by the death of a loved one. Explore how grief can temporarily change the personality of a character.

Plot Challenge: Include a character who suffers from insomnia. This bout of insomnia causes problems for the main character, which can include the main character being kept up too long each night, or receiving phone calls at odd hours of the day.

However, due to the insomniac, the characters learn a vital piece of information or witnesses something of importance to them…

Character Challenge:  A character gets hit on the head and suffers from a concussion. This injury triggers a temporary reversal of the character’s personality. If the character is normally happy, they should become depressed. If they’re normally depressed, they should become frighteningly happy…

Conflict Challenge:  A child steals the main character’s wallet, money, or some special possession. The child is too cute to main/injure/beat/scold/punish/kill, but refuses to give the item(s) back. Child should run amok before child’s parents are located and the items returned.

Bonus points if the child’s parents are enemies of the main character.

Fun & Games: Write a conversation involving puns relating to cheese.
